Stryker's Story...
Stryker is a handsome chocolate and vanilla-colored Black Lab/American Staffordshire Terrier-mix that is looking for a loving forever home to call his own! He is a young male that is approximately 1 to 2 years old. He is medium sized and weighs about 60 pounds. Stryker is a fantastic dog who sadly found himself at a kill shelter where he was going to be euthanized, but thankfully Lucky Dog was able to save his life and is now looking for a new family that will love and care for him! He is such a friendly boy that is extremely well-mannered and has an all-around wonderful temperment. He loves everyone that he meets and is always ready to greet someone new with lots of tail wags and kisses. He also gets along very well with other dogs. He is a smart boy that knows his basic commands and walks beautifully on a leash. Stryker would make a perfect addition to any family!

Stryker is very healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and heartworm-tested. For more information on Stryker or to get an adoption application, please contact Melia at melia88@comcast.net. His adoption donation of $200 benefits rescued pets. He is currently in a foster home in Chicago, IL and would love to find a forever home to call his own!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stryker, a Chicago Labrador Retriever/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
