Meet MAGGIE MAY !!!
A darling 1 yr old beauty !
Maggie is new to rescue, and is settling In .
She is a smooth coated Border collie with semi erect ears.
She is black & white.
OK Maggie is fully settled in - didn't take her long at all- and is LOVING the other foster dogs in her fosters home , she LOVES to play outdoors!!
SHE IS GREAT in the home - VERY calm indoors and well mannered.
She is well crate trained, and NOT yappy at all.
SHE is doing MUCH better on leash and with some commands like:
"SIT"
"SIT PRETTY"
"DANCE" ( she will stand all the way up and hop around. LOL)
She is NOT showing and inclination to HERD children, she is VERY gentle & loving BUT I still will prefer family's with kids OVER 7, UNLESS the family & the kids have dog experience.
NO BABYS , NO Toddlers, NO KIDS AT ALL UNDER 5 will be considered. EVEN with dog experience!!
THIS gal is a bit too happy, bouncy and big and doesnt have enough training in obedience for any INFANTS or TODDLERS!!! - NOR do i know if she was raised with children or even ever SAW a baby!!
SHE really is amazing me - how well she is doing in the foster moms house, and HOW CALM she can be inside then turn into agility queen in the yard when playing with her foster pals.
This is high Energy breed, and NEEDS to do things, they are VERY intelligent.
PLEASE RESEARCH THE BREED!

I would say MAGGIE MAY IS a sweet natured Border collie and a good natured goof ball outdoors & SHE IS ONE WHO LOVES EVERYONE.
SHE LOVES ATTENTION AND AFFECTION- SHE HAS A HIGH DESIRE TO PLEASE. SHE LOVES TO LEARN NEW TRICKS AND COMMANDS.

6 FT fully fenced yard MANTATORY - she is agile can can jump a 4 ft fence easily- SHE has NOT done so YET- but has shown an interest when out alone- when she is with her FOSTER PALS - she doesnt even look over the fence.
OB class will be a part of her contract. I can do OB work with her- BUT it would be in THE best Interest of any potential adopter to ALSO do OB work with her to establish a good bonding.
a BORED UNTRAINED border collie can be a NIGHTMARE on legs- BUT a trained , obedient border collie can be the best dog you ever owned. These dogs bond hard to family, and will love you unconditionally , forever.
MAGGIE has a TON of potential - NOT only as a possible agility dog BUT also as a VERY well mannered house pet.
Approved application & lifetime care contract required.
