Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This young lady is so pretty she gets more compliments than Adele gets Grammy’s. But despite her good looks Sneakers is no push-over; she is as athletic as her name suggests and will need a home that intends to be an active not a passive dog-home. Sneakers is all about being the best she can be in everything she does. She works hard for treats, she chases tennis balls passionately, she loves her people with abandon and if left unsupervised she will scale a fence to see if the grass really is greener on the other side. At two-and-a-half year old Sneakers is a fun and energetic dog who is very capable of following obedience commands but can be intense which may be overwhelming for an inexperienced dog-owner. Sneakers appears to love her people but has not been accepting of all the dogs at the shelter and will need careful introductions to any four-legged companions. Sneakers may simply be happier in a one-dog-household, and certainly she can provide more than enough fun, companionship and exercise for the average dog-owner.
Please call the shelter 516-944-8220 during working hours (Mon. to Fri. 9AM-4PM; Sat. 10-4PM) for more information about Sneakers, the adoption process at the shelter, and to confirm availability. Please go to www.theshelterconnection.com for more information about and directions to the shelter.
