Demetri is the cutest little puppy with personality plus to boot! On August 9th I got a call about 10 newborn orphaned pups. I had a mom dog who had some milk to spare and that is how Demetri and his siblings were rescued! We also rescued the father of litter - Jake, who can also be seen on our website if you would like a bit of a reference as to what Demetri may look like as an adult. The pups are primarily Labrador Retriever/Border Collie mixes. They have been a delight to have around and to watch grow. We are now accepting applications on the puppies. It is important that they are well socialized with other dogs, so they will not be ready to go to new homes as an only dog until 8 weeks old (~October 9, 2011). We can consider adopting them earlier to homes that already have another dog .Demetri is good with other dogs and with small children. He is a smart little guy who has been using a dog door since he was just 4 weeks old. Of course he is still to young to be house-broken, but I don't think it will take him long to learn. Demetri's adoption fee is $200 and that includes de-worming, neuter, microchip and series of puppy vaccinations. AZ Prussian Snailhound Dog Rescue would like to remind everyone that puppies are a big commitment and require a lot of attention. Puppies often exhibit undesirable behaviors such as chewing and digging. Of course they also are a lot of fun and are very lovable too. When choosing a puppy please consider how much time you will be able to spend training and socializing your new puppy.
