Sage's Story...
Sage is a shepherd mix weighing about 20 lbs and just under 4 months of age. She will most likely be about 40 lbs full grown. She is very sweet - a bit shy at first but warms up to new people very quickly. She loves children, is great with other dogs and is usually the submissive one when playing. She is crate trained and loves walks and playing with toys. She has a very sweet personality and is very gentle. Sage walks very well on a leash and will stay by your side when out and about. She is fast to warm up to you and is very attentive. There isn't really anything bad to say about this sweetheart! She truly is one of the sweetest girls you'll ever meet.

Sage has been spayed, microchipped and is up to date on vaccines. An adoption application is required via email prior to meeting any Hope 4 Paws dog in its foster home. For most dogs in the rescue, breeds stated in posting are merely our best educated guess as we do not know the history of many dogs that come into the rescue. The adoption application is available at www.hope4paws.com and can be emailed to Molly at Hallamart@sbcglobal.net. The adoption fee for Sage of $275 covers all vetting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sage, a Plainfield Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Plainfield, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Plainfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Plainfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Plainfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Plainfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
