Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Junior is very handsome, extremely shy, three-year-old, 50-pound, male, brown-eyed, brindle and white Boxer/Am Staff-mix looking for a loving guardian. This poor boy was impounded during an abuse/neglect case, so he was incarcerated for his humans crimes. He received no positive socialization in his original home, and none at the pound where he was kept. Volunteers have been working with him since February of 2011 and he has come a long way. Junior loves other dogs, loves going for runs, and enjoys the company of people of all ages including children. He needs a gentle dog-lover to take him under their wing for training and to help him build up his self-confidence.
Junior is healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on preventative. His adoption fee of $200 benefits rescued dogs. To meet and possibly adopt him, please contact Melia at melia88@comcast.net or 708-224-1900. He is currently in a boarding facility in West Chicago, Illinois and would love to have a home to call his own!
