Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Vinnie is a very handsome, smart, affectionate, happy, sweet, and friendly, three-year-old, 60-pound, male, fawn and white American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer-mix looking for a loving guardian. Poor Vinnie was thrown out of a moving vehicle on Chicago’s California Avenue. He was emaciated and defeated. A caring and dog-loving Chicago policewoman rescued him, but he has been sitting in a kennel for way too long. He’s a great dog and has obviously been overlooked. Vinnie loves toys and ball, and loves to play fetch. He’s happy to self-entertain with toys, but he’d also be great with a family with children who can play fetch in the yard with him. He’s phenomenal in the car, and even great on road-trips... he just sits in the back and looks out the window. He’s also a great walking buddy – really good on leash. Vinnie is well trained and knows sit, down and takes treats nicely from your fingers. He is tentative around other dogs but is happy to go on walks with them, he just doesn’t want to share his home with another pet.
Vinnie is healthy, housebroken, crate-trained, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly heartworm preventative. His adoption fee of $200 benefits rescued dogs. Vinnie is being kenneled in West Chicago, Illinois. To meet and possibly temporarily foster or permanently adopt him, contact Melia at melia88@comcast.net.
