Macy's Story...
I’m a little 4 pound senior looking for a home…I may be 13, but I’m still spunky and still love a good game of tug-of-war! I’m super sweet, and I do well with children of all ages…you may have noticed that I’m as cute as cute can be. Now, let’s get down to the brass tacks. Are you going to let me spend my golden years alone in the shelter? Don’t you have in your heart to provide love and comfort to an old friendly gal? I promise I don’t need much, just some attention and cuddle time, an occasional game of tug-of-war, and to be let outside on a regular basis (my bladder doesn’t hold as long as it used to…). I don’t think that’s too much to ask…what do ya say? Help an ol’ gal spend here golden years in peace?
13 years old-4lbs. My adoption fee is $80 and includes; microchip, spay, reduced cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam , leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Macy, a Portland Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
