Stretch's Story...
Hi, I'm Stretch. A little about me: I was born on Oct 13, 2004. I'm staying with my Foster Dad. He has two dogs, one a mix and the other a Basset like me. The Basset, Clarabelle and I play all day long......she's three and she's really cute!!!!! I love to play with other dogs, with humans, with whoever will play with me. I bark very little and I'm relatively obedient. I'm a loveable Hound, a really good guy, who will win your heart fast. I enjoy being petted, really like belly rubs, and going for walks. Chilling out on the floor next to a human is so nice. I haven't been on furniture, but I could learn that fast, I'm sure; I'm just not allowed to here.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stretch, a Montgomery Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Montgomery, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Montgomery.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Montgomery already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Montgomery breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Montgomery paves the way for another one to be saved.
