Mohawk's Story...
Meet Mohawk! They don’t come any more charming than this handsome boy! We think he is a mix of Rottweiler and Bernese Mountain Dog– with some teddy bear thrown in for good measure. But the mix is unimportant when you see him in person. With totally unique fur, a goofy smile, and soft brown eyes, it will be love at first sight!

Mohawk came to ARF as a stray and is eager to find his forever family. While we are still getting to know his personality, we do know that Mohawk is a friendly, loving dog who will make a great addition to any home. He loves people and other dogs too! However, it takes Mohawk a few minutes to warm up to his new friends, so he will require a family that is willing to take it slow with this sensitive boy. No longer a puppy, Mohawk is at that great age where he enjoys playing and exploring the world, but also loves to relax and cuddle. Mohawk is a champion cuddler!

If you would like to give Mohawk his second chance at a loving home, contact her adoption consultants, Mike and Jen, at 440-463-8373 or mlray1013@gmail.com. Mohawk is in a foster home, so they will set up a visit. He can’t wait to meet you!

** The adoption fee helps to cover the general veterinarian check-up, heartworm test, spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, rabies vaccination, worming, flea preventative, and microchip that all dogs adopted through Berea ARF receive prior to going into their new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mohawk, a Berea Bernese Mountain Dog/Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bernese Mountain Dog/Rottweiler for sale in Berea, or seeking a Bernese Mountain Dog/Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Berea.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berea already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berea breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bernese Mountain Dog/Rottweiler breeders who help with Bernese Mountain Dog/Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berea paves the way for another one to be saved.
