Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is the biography for Rosa, a female pitbull mix who is looking for a
forever home. She is almost 5 years old, she is light brown and white in
color, and is about 50 pounds. She has a very gentle temperament, can be
startled easily, but is extremely fond of people and, especially, children.
While I have met Rosa prior to this due to my families involvement with
Happy Tails Happy Homes, I've had her personally as a foster for the last
two and a half months. I currently have her in a small one bedroom apartment
and typically try to take her out at least three times a day for anywhere
between 25-30 minutes minimum. While she does love to go on longer walks
(and even runs, if one were so inclined) she will most likely be found
curled up in her favorite spot completely passed out shortly after. She
loves to run and play, is very inquisitive, and is very receptive to the
energy levels of those around her. While she is not inherently aggressive
towards other dogs - in that she does not lunge or growl at other dogs in
close proximity - she has been known to initiate a few altercations in the
past, leading me to suggest that she not be housed with other dogs. With
this in mind, Rosa would make a great addition to any single-dog home, with
or without children, and ranging anywhere from rural location to more urban
dwelling as long as she receives the appropriate amount of exercise and
stimulation. Overall, Rosa is one of the most gentle, loving dogs I've ever
had the pleasure to get to know and I am certain that she will make for a
very welcome addition to the family of anyone who is willing to take the
time and care to understand her specific needs."
