Gizzy's Story...
Check out little Gizzy! (thats what she came with from the neighborhood)
She is 4 years old and is a cute beagle/rat Terrier mix. She weighs about 15lbs.
Gizzy is house broken and has very good house manners!
Gizzy belonged to a man who did not get her fixed and let her roam the neighborhood. We
understand she had 3 litters in the last year or so. This last time he locked her out of the yard and got two new dogs.
People can sometimes be very heartless.
The neighbors would always find home for the puppies. This last litter (*the puggles) were born under another neighbors porch and another neighbor basically took care of them. I worked with this neighbor and she told me about them. So I rescued all. Puppies have homes of their own so now mom needs one.! She is spayed, yay!... no more babies. She is HW negative and she is on HW preventative. She has all of her shots including rabies.
She is good with people, kids, other dogs and so so with cats. She doesnt give them much notice until they start to run. She is very loving and playful, but takes direction pretty well. She is more of a dominant dog and doesn't back down when confronted, no matter how big the dog is.

Rescue Group Info...
About Our Rescue Group...
Pooches & Purrs Cooperative is a group of rescues and individual rescuers that are working hard to find loving homes for the dogs, cats, kittens and puppies that find their way into our care through no fault of their own. Each individual or group has several wonderful dogs In Tennessee, Alabama or Kentucky looking for homes! All of them are completely vetted and neutered/spayed (if age appropriate) and on heartworm protection. All of them come with complete medical records. Their adoption fee of $450 covers their complete age appropriate vetting and heartworm preventative as well as their transportation to your area.
Our rescues don't have an actual shelter building in the New England area. Due to this it is not always possible to meet them prior to their adoption. At times, a dog may be in foster care in New England and their bio will clearly be marked as such so you will know. These southern dogs & cats are brought up to their new owners weekly! We have a 14 day money back guarantee and the pet can be rehomed appropriately if things don't work out. Each group tries hard to get good matches in your homes so that everyone has a happy life together! To date the cooperative has placed over a two thousand dogs and puppies, cats and kittens in loving New England homes! Each group has many, many, references of happy adopters up in your area that can fill you in on their experience. Just email and they can pass along that information for your convenience. Thanks!
