Fantasia's Story...
Hi there! I’m Fantasia, a totally awesome 10 year old brown tabby cat who is a very lucky girl! You see, I was part of Young at Heart’s Super Senior Save, and I was saved just in the nick of time! I was very ill, and I spent a month hospitalized while the rescue’s vet helped me recover. And as soon as I started feeling better, I started purring for everyone, and rubbing up on everyone, and I became the vet clinic’s favorite patient! I finally got the green light from the doc – I was finally healthy and ready to be put up for adoption!! So off to the adoption center I went, and I was SO happy to stretch my legs and hang out with the other kitties! But my favorite part of every day is visiting with all the people! I love people! Young ones, old ones, short ones, tall ones- I’m always happy to purr for you! I’m a great girl, and will make a great addition to any home! I’m good with my litter box, good with other kitties, and don’t seem to mind the dogs who visit me at the door to the center. I’m a very mellow girl, and I know I got my second chance, and I am very grateful! So come visit me today. I bet I’m the cat you’ve been looking for!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fantasia, a Palatine Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Palatine, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Palatine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Palatine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Palatine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Palatine paves the way for another one to be saved.
