Austin's Story...
Please contact Sandy (SandyGmeow@aol.com) for more information about this pet.

Est DOB 11/1/2010, DMH Turkish Angora mix, light orange (peachy) colored, neutered male.  Austin was turned left in a gate box at one of the County's high-kill shelters.  Most likely his owners could no longer care for him financially.  He doesn't seem to mind being away from his former home; so it must not have been that great.  He was very under nourished when first left at the shelter; but it hasn't taken him much time at all to make up for lost time in the eating area.  He's filled out and is absolutely as gorgeous as he is sweet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Austin, a Cocoa Turkish Angora cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Turkish Angora for sale in Cocoa, or seeking a Turkish Angora cat from a breeder in Cocoa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cocoa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cocoa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Turkish Angora breeders who help with Turkish Angora rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cocoa paves the way for another one to be saved.
