Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Captain is a very handsome, two to three-year-old, 65-pound, male, black and tan German Shepherd looking for a loving guardian. Captain lived in a loving home with another dog. Sadly, he landed at a high-kill shelter when their human was killed in a car accident. Captain is fearful, and even though he has a very big bark, he gets along with other friendly dogs. He sits on command, loves to play ball, and would probably do best in an all adult, patient, Shepherd-experienced home.
Captain is healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, de-wormed and heartworm-tested. If you are interested in fostering or adopting this special boy, please contact Melia at melia88@comcast.net or 708-224-1900. His adoption fee of $200 benefits rescue dogs. He is currently kenneled in Steger, Illinois and would love to get out of the kennel and into a loving home.
