My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Per Olive's foster mom, Blu:

"On July 10th, I went and picked up a dog that I have good reason to believe was being abused. Some people that I have only met once or twice approached me at a bookstore and asked if I could take a dog off of their hands. My initial answer was no, because I had 10 here at the time. I am a foster mom for a couple of different organizations, so there are usually quite a few dogs in my home. After talking with the people for a few minutes, I learned that this dog had been a stray, wandered up to their home and had just hung around. One of the male family members supposedly does not like dogs, and so would punch her in the face. While I would hope that that was a fabricated story to make me take her (which, of course, did work), I am not so sure. Her eye was swollen when I took her, and she does cower down in the presence of men. However, she has not shown any aggression towards humans whatsoever.

I call her Olive, and I think she is a great girl. I have had her spayed, tested for HW (she is negative and on prevention) and also had a rabies shot. I believe she is only 1 - 2 years old, and a bull dog mix of some sort. She is now house-trained, crate-trained, and ok on a leash. She does not bother my cats, but I've never left her alone with them. She also likes car rides and REALLY, REALLY loves to play in the water. If you tie her out, she will not give you a minute's peace. If you leave her alone in a fenced area, she WILL find a way out. She would need to be crated when someone is not home to watch and hang out with her.

She is crated when I am not home, and any interactions with the pack are closely supervised. I keep any food, water and toys put away when she is out, just to be safe. She still gets along great with everyone, and loves to play. However, she does not tolerate being growled at over food, water or toys."
