Lola's Info...

Lola's Story...
If you are looking for a beautiful companion, Lola is the bird for you. She is a gorgeous Lutino Cockatiel. She needs someone who can give her more attention. Right now, she is a bit shy, but we are sure she will come around with more attention.

Lola was feather-picked when she came in. But, her feathers have grown back now. Lola's previous owner had her for three years. She came from another person, so we don't know too much about her history. Her previous owner could no longer care for her due to declining health.

Lola's hatch date is unknown, and her adoption fee is $40.

For information on some of the characteristics of this bird, see this Species Profile page: http://www.staravian.org/species_profiles.html#Cockatiel

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lola, a St. Louis Cockatiel was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cockatiel for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Cockatiel from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cockatiel breeders who help with Cockatiel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
