Shynia is a rescue from a high kill shelter.

Shynia was not showing well at the pound and was very stressed and nervous and needed out of the chaotic environment ASAP. We aren’t really sure what her mix is, she was sent to us as a Boston Terrier/Beagle mix but she has silky hair and feathering on her tail and back legs like a Spaniel, she is also rather petite and dainty. Though she is likely pretty much done growing we’d really like to see this little girl gain a few pounds, she likely wasn’t much in the mood for eating at the shelter and should gain the weight back once settled in a home. She is a very sweet and cuddly girl who isn’t actually all that shy with people or other pets but is still taking time to come around after her ordeal in the pound. She is good with other dogs, cats and respectful older kids – at this time we prefer a home with no small kids so that Shy can take some time to unwind. She is crate trained and doesn’t mind sleeping in her crate at night and when left alone. She can be left for typical 9-5 work hours. Shy travels well in the car. She is a quiet girl – being a little shy and all. Shy needs a patient and understanding owner to help her come out of her shell. She is suitable for house with a fenced yard or apartment living – we prefer a house with a fenced yard if possible.
