My name is Foxy!

American Eskimo Dog Mix Dog for adoption in Anchorage, Alaska - Foxy

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Foxy's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Foxy's Story...
Foxy is about 13 years old and due to the death of her owner needs a quiet retirement home. She is a typical Eskie and takes a while to warm up to people. She was kicked by a moose a few years ago and had hip surgery - this does not slow her down but it does prevent her from jumping. (No beds, furniture, etc.) and she has a very difficult time with more than a stair or two. NO SMALL CHILDREN as she is old and her hip can cause her pain if picked up wrong, tripped over, etc. She is good with other dogs as long as they are gentle with her and is great with cats.

All adoptions require an approved application, in-person interview, and home visit. To apply online visit http://www.adoptadogak.com/Forms.html

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Foxy, a Anchorage American Eskimo Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Eskimo Dog for sale in Anchorage, or seeking a American Eskimo Dog dog from a breeder in Anchorage.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Anchorage already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Anchorage breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Eskimo Dog breeders who help with American Eskimo Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Anchorage paves the way for another one to be saved.
