My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This beautiful young girl is Mara. She is a very fun loving, energetic, friendly pup. She is just under a year and like any young dog will need some further training but overall she is a sweet natured dog that loves everyone she meets regardless of the species. Very affectionate, loving, loyal and willing to please,

Mara is never shy and is always happy. She loves going for walks and is very friendly with everyone she meets. She is a very loyal and loving dog that is ready and willing to do whatever you would like. She is always trying to please and further obedience training would not only help her gain skills but give her the confidence to gain the praise and positive feedback she craves.

Mara is a great companion as you can take her anywhere without worry. She is completely house trained and is crate trained. She is always happy to see you upon your return and greets you with kisses and tail wags.

She obviously has something small in her breeding as she is pretty much her adult size at this point and is just 30 lbs. This makes her a nice compact size for a large family. She travels well in the car and would love to accompany her family wherever they go for some fun walks along the beach trails or off to the dog park to play with other dog friends. She does need to be protected from other dogs as she has no idea that everyone isn't as friendly as she is and her puppyness can sometimes be too much for some older, smaller dogs. She would be great as a second dog that liked to play or as a single companion.

Mara is always up for an adventure or new experience (even trying to go up a slide and continually sliding back down) if you ask her to do it, she'll give it a 100% effort. For the most part however, she tries her best to do whatever you ask of her.

She does appear to know her basic commands such as "sit", "come", "stay" and also knows "paw", "up" and "jump". She is currently working on her leash training and coming along nicely. She is a puppy still and so will need further reinforcement as her attention span can be short at times and she can get easily distracted and can get into trouble. She has a lot of energy and needs someone committed to ensuring she gets a couple good walks each day and time to play with other dogs.

Mara is just a typical pup that will need further obedience training and positive reinforcement to help her become a great companion. She would be an excellent pet for an active family that wants a dog that is happy, friendly with everyone and who would enjoy taking her out for daily walks and playing with her in the yard. She is very affectionate and loving and has a great heart.
