Pepper - In Maine's Story...
PEPPER

Sweet Pepper is a 7 year old female Beagle who is being surrendered to Tall Tails Beagle rescue by her family due to a change in residence.

Pepper has been with her family since she was a pup originating from a breeder in Kansas.

Pepper's family reports that she has shared his home peacefully with cats and children ranging in age from 5-17. Pepper also gets along well with other dogs although can be a little shy with new canines at first.

Pepper is house trained and is used to going for leash walks 3-4 times per day.

She rides well in the car and enjoys going for rides!

Being a typical beagle - Pepper is vocal when she hears an unfamiliar noise - so she is not a good candidate for apartment living.

Pepper's family chose the following words to describe his personality: "Affectionate, easy going, happy, loving, playful and social."

Pepper is still living with her family in Portland, ME and can be met by appointment. Please give her a loving home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pepper - In Maine, a Freeport Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Freeport, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Freeport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Freeport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Freeport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Freeport paves the way for another one to be saved.
