Isis's Story...
This gorgeous long-haired brindle is a sweet girl who will make a wonderful companion to a single person or a family on the smaller side. She is a little sensitive and scares easily, so she needs lots of reassurance and affection to let her know that she is in good hands. On walks, she is a doll, never pulling, and staying close by her human companion. Isis hardly ever fails to attract the admiring glances of passersby, and once she meets them, her charms become even more enchanting as this sweet dog gently returns all attention given to her.

Act quickly to adopt Isis. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Isis, a Berkeley Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
