MAGGIE's Story...
She's an amazingly beautiful, loving senior dog. We rescued her at the end of September, she was depressed, matted and neglected. Dumped at the shelter, in a time that should have been relaxing in her golden years-- we've been spoiling her and she is starting to get her mojo back. Maggie is looking for a lap to rest her head in. A few quiet belly scratches. She is probably about 8 or 9. She has a cataract in one of her eyes, she doesn't hear perfectly, that doesn't stop her from being the greatest walking partner EVER!. She also has a little bit of arthritis in her hips She is GRACE on for four paws and would love to your pride and joy. Help us find her the best home ever....hopefully with not too many stairs.

Thank you for considering adopting a rescue dog!

We are Lucky Pup Dog Rescue, a 501c3 non profit dog rescue in San Diego, California. We are a small rescue staffed by all volunteers.
Our adoption process does require an application, a home visit and a min tax deductible donation to our rescue of $200. ($250 for puppies under a year)
Your donation helps to cover the rescue costs (spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, worming, flea treatments and any other medical needs). Your donation not only helps the dog you adopt, but it also helps us to rescue another dog from the shelter.

Our APPLICATION is located on our website http://www.LuckyPupDogRescue.com.

Once we have your application, we can set a time to meet the pup (s) you are interested in. Many of our dogs are in foster homes around the community, so we would need to set an appointment.
We also hold monthly adoption events around the San Diego area and they are listed on our website.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MAGGIE, a san diego Bernese Mountain Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bernese Mountain Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in san diego, or seeking a Bernese Mountain Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in san diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in san diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a san diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bernese Mountain Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Bernese Mountain Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in san diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
