My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ames is Fizzie's puppy. Fizzie was pregnant and wandering the streets in a town in Arkansas. The shelter was going to euthanize her because she was pregnant. Puppies born in shelters don't do well and, in fact, Fizzie had 4 puppies born in the shelter but only one survived. The shelter said that Fizzie and Ames are yorkies but I think they are silky terriers - that's why both breeds are noted here. You want a yorkie? He'll be a yorkie. You want a silky? He'll be a silky. He has a natural tail. Ames has been in rescue since he was 3 days old. He has been handled several times a day since then. We have a little ritual - I pick him up, kiss him twice on each side of his face, pat his butt then he gets belly scritches. I think he's pretty smart because now when I pick him up, he automatically turns his face to his left to receive his first kiss! Ames is all love, all the time. He runs to me when I walk in the room. He loves being held. He loves his toys and he loves playing with Maya and Mookie, his step brother and sister - they are motherless and he was an only child - they needed each other.

Ames is neutered, up to date on all shots, heartworm negative, on heartworm/flea preventive and microchipped. His adoption fee is $350.
