Buttercup's Story...

Buttercup is a spayed female, tan doxy mix, born July 10, 2011.

This puppy was on a transport that several other groups took part in. She was with her sister and we knew they came from a bad environment because they had skin issues caused from poor nutrition. They are doing great in their foster home and are ready for adoption.

Buttercup is one of those puppies that when she sees you she runs up to you with a “Here I am!!!” attitude. She’s loving and enjoys just hanging out. She is very affectionate and is a riot to watch as she runs around with her floppy ears.

She has been exposed to kids, cats & other dogs in her foster home and does great with all of them. She weighs about 6 pounds. Pre-adopts can be filled out on line from the following link Always Hope Animal Rescue

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buttercup, a Howell Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Howell, or seeking a Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Howell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Howell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Howell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Howell paves the way for another one to be saved.
