My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Updated Bio 10/17/11: Oliver is an adorable 8-month old, 8 pound Yorkie mix. He is lovable, sweet, and very smart! Oliver has been doing wonderful in his foster home, but would love to find his forever family soon. He loves being around other dogs and does great with kids of all ages. He would do well in an active household. Oliver is playful, easy-going, and likes to cuddle. Oliver is almost completely housetrained and will require a fully fenced in backyard (no exceptions). He loves to go for walks and is comfortable in a crate. Oliver is very healthy, neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all his vaccinations. If you are looking for a little companion to share your love with, please fill out an adoption application for Oliver.

Initial Bio 09/24/11: Hi. My name is Oliver, but I like to be called Ollie. I am 7 months old and still very much a puppy. I weigh about 7 lbs. and will probably gain a few more before my 1st birthday. My dad was a Yorkie and my mom was a Bichon Frise/Shih Tzu mix. Put it all together and it equals a little bundle of cuteness! My human parents loved me very much, but felt that surrendering me was in my best interest so I could find a forever home where the people could give me lots of time and attention. I love being around other doggies. There were 2 in the home I came from, but they were older and didn't want to play with me....boring! There were 2 little kids in the home I came from and 3 kids in my foster home, so I enjoy lots of activity. While I'm in my foster home, foster mom plans to work with me on house training, crate training, and walking on a leash. I am okay at these things already, but can use some improvement. So if you are interested in adopting me, you must have a fully fenced in backyard (no exceptions), be consistent and patient with me as you train me (I would love to take some obedience classes), and be active and take me on lots of walks. Before I go back to playing, here are a few more things you should know about me: I was neutered over the summer, I am up-to-date on all my vaccinations, I do not bark excessively, and sometimes I get sick when I travel in the car. Please fill out an adoption application if you think we might be a match!
