Raven's Story...
Hello, I'm Raven. I am a female, black tortie (tortoiseshell) calico kitten. I love to play and am super friendly. I know my forever home is out there and I hope that family will consider adopting me with one of my siblings or another kitty. You see, I am one of a litter of eight, so I am used to playing with lots of other kitties and my mom. I hope to find a loving, forever home where I can be one of the family!

My date of birth is 7/29/11 and these photos are when I was younger. My foster mom is trying to get some updated pictures of me now that I've grown a bit, but she says I'm not being very "cooperative" - whatever that means. But as soon as she gets them, we'll post them for you.

My adoption fee of $135 includes: vet exam, feline leukemia/FIV test, FVRCP (distemper combo) vaccination, rabies vaccination, deworming, microchip and spaying.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Raven, a Mt. Prospect Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Mt. Prospect, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Mt. Prospect.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mt. Prospect already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mt. Prospect breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mt. Prospect paves the way for another one to be saved.
