Sherlock's Story...
Hi, I'm Sherlock! I'm quite the little sleuth! I love to investigate the entire house and check things out for trouble. I'm definitely not shy.
I'm a tiny, short-haired, brownish-grey tabby boy. I'm such a good kitten -- friendly, social, great with kids, and what my foster family calls a "lap kitten." I would love to come explore your house and cuddle with you. I get along fabulously with my sister (not sure if we're related or not but I'd like to think we are), Agatha. We'd love to be adopted together.

Sherlock's estimated date of birth is 7-20-11 and his adoption fee of $135 includes: vet exam, feline leukemia/FIV test, FVRCP (distemper combo) vaccination, deworming and neuter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sherlock, a Mt. Prospect Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Mt. Prospect, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Mt. Prospect.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mt. Prospect already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mt. Prospect breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mt. Prospect paves the way for another one to be saved.
