Libby is a sweet and friendly 7-month-old Shepherd/Border Collie mix that was rescued from the Devore Shelter. Her best features are her gorgeous, warm eyes and a tail that wags the minute she see you. She was listed as Lab mix, but it is clear she is Shepherd mix. Libby currently weighs around 35 lbs. She has not been tested around cats, but she is sweet and gentle and even tried to make friends with a large toad (she laid down next to the toad and wagged her tail!) so we think she would be fine with a cat.

Libby gets along with other dogs and shows a real interest in being social and playing with other canine friends. She is doing pretty well in the crate, and is now almost totally quiet when it is time to be crated. She also sleeps in the crate at night.

Libby is playful and is still a puppy. She needs to be watched for chewing and redirected to appropriate chew items. She is submissive and calm in the house. She is alert, noticeably smart, and quite trainable. She is being potty trained and doing well. We are looking for a home for Libby where she can be in the company of another dog. She is extremely quick to learn and wants to please, but seems so much happier when she has a doggie friend.

Libby is spayed, de-wormed, fully vaccinated including rabies, as well as micro-chipped. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Libby, a Bellflower German Shepherd Dog/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Border Collie for sale in Bellflower, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Bellflower.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellflower already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellflower breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Border Collie breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellflower paves the way for another one to be saved.
