Charolette's Story...
Charlotte has a very sweet, trusting nature, and loves to be petted & spoken to. She was found in deplorable condition and heartworm positive. She enjoys being in the house with her people, and gets along well with other dogs. Charolette has completed her heartworm treatment and went for her 2 week follow up and the vet determined she is heartworm free! Unfortunately, her heart is damaged from the disease, so she still has a cough and slightly labored breathing. We arent sure how long of a life Charolette will have, but we would love to find her a loving place to spend her remaining days. She is a very quiet, humble girl and you never even know she is around. She is housetrained and just wants to finally have a family of her own that will give her a good retirement.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charolette, a Londonderry Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Londonderry, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Londonderry.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Londonderry already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Londonderry breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Londonderry paves the way for another one to be saved.
