Hank's Story...
Hank was saved from a local animal shelter after he was picked up as a stray and no one came to reclaim him. After being in the shelter for quite some time, he became urgent and scheduled to be euthanized due to coughing. Rescued Friends had a wonderful foster step up to save him just in the nick of time. Hank was on a round of antibiotics for an upper respiratory infection and is now completely better! He's approximately 1-1.5 years old and he gets along great with other dogs. Hank did come back positive for sarcoptic mange and had some hair loss but his hair has grown back in! He would make a wonderful addition to any family. Hank loves to cuddle and play! He's fully vetted, which includes; neutered, all vaccines, heartworm negative, kept on heartworm and flea/tick prevention, and microchipped. Hank has had a wonderful donor sponsor half of his adoption fee.. This makes it only $65 to adopt!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hank, a Arlington Dachshund/Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Rat Terrier for sale in Arlington, or seeking a Dachshund/Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Arlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Dachshund/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
