Pinto's Story...
I'm Pinto, and I am the brother of Peg. I, too, am a ten-week-old Lab/Border Collie cross puppy. I, like my sister, will be a very active dog when I grow up, so a family with an active life-style would be best for me. If you can get past my great face, then you need to know that as a puppy I will need a family who will be willing to train and guide me to become the dog that they can love forever. In return, I will be a loyal and devoted companion to you my entire life. Dogs are like that you know; loyal to their people 24/7. If I am the boy you have been looking for who can love you 24/7….then call High Sierra Animal Rescue and ask about me, Pinto.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pinto, a Portola Labrador Retriever/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie for sale in Portola, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Portola.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portola already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portola breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Border Collie breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portola paves the way for another one to be saved.
