Winston's Story...
An unplanned union produced 6 puppies born on September 4, 2011. Mom is a sweet-tempered yellow Lab and Dad is a friendly Pyrenees mix. With such gentle dogs for parents, these little guys can't help being anything but amazing puppies. Winston is a handsome fellow with a striking blaze on his face. Puppies are a lot of work so be sure you know what is involved before considering to adopt one. Someone needs to be home most of the time in order to teach them things like being clean in the house. These puppies will be ready to go to their forever homes at the beginning of November 2011. They will have received at least their first vaccination and deworming, and Kiko will make sure they get sterilized as soon as they're old enough. It's difficult to say how big they'll be when fully grown but based on the parents, about 70-75 pounds could be a reasonable estimate.

All Kiko dogs have been examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, dewormed, tested for heartworm, sterilized, and require an adoption fee of $400 ($250 for senior dogs and $125 for cats) and an adoption contract.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winston, a Rigaud Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Rigaud, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Rigaud.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rigaud already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rigaud breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rigaud paves the way for another one to be saved.
