Big Al's Story...
An unplanned union produced 6 puppies born on September 4, 2011. Mom is a sweet-tempered yellow Lab and Dad is a friendly Pyrenees mix. With such gentle dogs for parents, these little guys can't help being anything but amazing puppies. There is just one puppy left from this litter for adoption and that is Big Al. Who can resist a face like his? Puppies are a lot of work so be sure you know what is involved before considering to adopt one. Big Al is almost 100% fully clean in the house but someone still needs to be home most of the time in order to help him learn good canine manners and continue to be well socialized. Big Al has received his first vaccination, is already neutered and a stool analysis revealed no worms. It's difficult to say how big he'll be when fully grown but based on his parents, about 75-85 pounds could be a reasonable estimate.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Big Al, a Rigaud Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Rigaud, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Rigaud.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rigaud already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rigaud breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rigaud paves the way for another one to be saved.
