Beatrix's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Beatrix's Story...
Bonjour. You may have seen me before as a cat named Bauer but people told my foster mom that sounded too much like a boys name. So my name is now Beatrix, and I am still called "Bea" like I was before! I come with my own built-in beret...I think I am French! But I am really a beautiful little flower waiting to bloom to my full potential in a home with a loving, patient and attentive new family. I lost my mom to cancer a few weeks ago and now has to live in a bedroom in a new foster home as I do not get along with other cats. BUT, I do LOVE dogs. Given all of the changes in my life recently, I will be a little nervous at first but when I know I can trust you, I promise I will be a wonderful pet. I do tolerate gentle, cat-savvy dogs who will give me some space but would not do well in a home with young children. I would love a home as the only cat to have you all to myself. DOB: April/May 2011. If you would like more information on me, please email my foster mommy, megann@happystrays.org.

I would rather meet you at my foster home than meet you at Petco...I am much more comfortable that way!

About Happy Strays Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Happy Strays Rescue is a non-profit rescue organization that cares for stray, abandoned and orphaned cats and kittens. Our rescues are often just babies who require bottlefeeding and hand rearing. Our cats and kittens are cared for in a network of wonderful foster homes while they wait for adoption.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We currently have many many cats and kittens ready for adoption! Because we do not have a shelter and our cats reside in foster homes they are only available to be seen at our adoption Saturdays. If there is a cat you would like to meet, please let us know so that we can make sure the kitty is at our next evemt.

Our cats are available for adoption every Saturday from 11 am-3:30 pm at the PETCOs in La Canada and Santa Clarita. Please see our website for details and directions.

Our Adoption Process...

Our fees average $100 and include spay/neuter, testing for Felv/FIV and all vaccinations. We have an adoption questionaire and contract to be signed. We do not allow de-clawing, but we often rescue declawed cats and have them available for adoption. If the adoption is not a good fit for the cat or family, pets may always be returned to us.
