Toby's Story...
Hi, I'm Toby! I'm a 3 year old Jack Russell and Italian Greyhound mix. I think I have the best traits of both breeds, I like to have fun and love to lounge around! I am also super fast and love to run, so make sure you have a good hold of me when we're out for walks! I'm great on a leash and promise to keep up with you!

I'm fully potty trained, so just show me where to go and I'll have it down right away! I like to bark at squirrels outside and emergency vehicles when I hear them, but other than that I'm a super quiet little guy, you might even forget I'm there!

I love to play and I also love to hang out on the couch and watch some TV with you. My foster mom says I'm the best dog in the world, and I think she's pretty awesome too, but I can't wait to meet my forever family soon!

I do have a couple of health issues that my new family needs to know about so they can take the best care of me. My hip may have gotten hurt a long time ago, I can't quite remember, but I do hold it up sometimes. The vet told my foster mom that my leg should work fine, but I still hold it up sometimes because I'm used to it hurting. My foster mom massages it and takes me on walks to help me rehabilitate it so that I can really start using it all the time. When it's all better I'll be really fast!

I also have a heart murmur, but I am on medication for that, and probably will be for the rest of my life. It definitely doesn't slow me down at all and you sure wouldn't know that I have any health conditions at all because I'm so happy all the time!

I'm going to get fixed soon, but had to wait since I just started my new medicine. So make sure to ask about me so I can come to your home just as soon as I'm ready!

Will you be my new forever home?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Toby, a Dallas Jack Russell Terrier/Italian Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Italian Greyhound for sale in Dallas, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Italian Greyhound dog from a breeder in Dallas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dallas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dallas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Italian Greyhound breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Italian Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dallas paves the way for another one to be saved.
