Onyx's Story...
ONYX – Special Needs

Onyx was found by good Samaritans in Bay City with an injured leg. They contacted us and we found that Onyx had a very severe break probably due to being hit by a car. Onyx is doing better now, although she lost her leg and is learning to get around on three legs instead of four. She is the sweetest kitty imaginable, loves to cuddle and isn't letting her bad luck affect her capacity to enjoy life. United Paws has no place to put Onyx right now, so she is staying at the vet clinic until we can find a home for her. Do you have a place for a sweet kitty that needs a second chance?
Onyx is approximately a year old, has been spayed and has had her shots.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Onyx, a Tillamook Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tillamook, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Tillamook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tillamook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tillamook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tillamook paves the way for another one to be saved.
