Our Adoption Process...

If your application is approved, we'll come to your home for a visit. This is just to be sure that you live in an environment that is safe for a dog.

After your application has been approved and your home visit has been completed, you're ready to adopt. We require a $165 adoption fee and a signed contract at the time we release the dog to your care. You can change your mind within three days for a refund of your adoption fee. Should you change your mind after the three day period, we will not provide a refund.

If you ever decide to give up guardianship of a dog adopted from us, for any reason, you must return the dog to our care.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sunflower, a Austin Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Austin, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
