Teddy's Story...
Teddy is a gorgeous boy who is about 1-2 years old. Full of personality and charm this boy will never let you be board. Teddy would be a wonderful dog for anyone who wants a great companion. He simply loves to be with you. At 65 lbs Teddy will cuddle in your bed, go on car rides and enjoy long walks on the beach. He is extremely smart and very willing to learn anything you want to show him. He is a breeze to train because of his people pleasing nature.

Teddy is no coach potato. He needs to run, walk and stretch his legs. He is sometimes too smart for his own good and needs to be stimulated with play. Teddy would make a great companion for an active family. He would love to have an owners who is a jogger or is avid about sports with their dogs. Possibly someone who is interested in agility. Teddy currently lives with another dog and a cat both of which he loves very much!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Teddy, a Manhasset Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Manhasset, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Manhasset.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manhasset already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manhasset breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manhasset paves the way for another one to be saved.
