My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello!

I am Coco and this here is my brother Buddy. We are birth brothers, maybe around 5 yrs old (could be younger) and we are looking for some humans to take care of us. You see, we have been pretty much fending for ourselves for our whole lives, and its been ok, and we really dont have anything against you two legged people...actually we really like you even though we havent had much experience hanging out with you, and so I think we should settle down and get that whole "spoiled rotten dog" thing down now.

My brother, Buddy, is a great guy and I am not just saying that cuz he is my brother. He is bigger than me, but he doesnt worry about anything, where as me...I take it upon myself to take care of both of us. Of course that means that I can tell Buddy where to stick it if I want, and he just pays no attention to me. We really love each other and it sounds like we act like two legged brothers act. We play and wrestle and run and we like to hold on to each other by the tail (usually its me holding Buddys tail in my mouth as we wander around), we snuggle together to sleep and we never argue about food or treats or who gets to go in the door first or anything like that.

We are learning some manners, but its kind of hard because we dont get to live in a home just yet....we are in a place called a boarding school and we have a nice boarding teacher. He really likes us and he is helping us to learn to sit and wait before we can get a treat and he is also trying to help us learn where we are and are not supposed to go to the bathroom. (apparently going on our blankets in our kennel is NOT where we are supposed to go, but outside in the yard is where we ARE supposed to go....how would we know?) We just always went where and whenever we felt like it.

We are also trying to learn to walk nice a leash, but we are just so happy to go places and we want to go way faster than the Humans, so we need some practice with this whole walking nice thing.

We dont really care too much about other dogs, or cats and we do really like to play. We really dont want to be seperated, we have been all we have had for our whole lives and we cant imagine not getting to live the good life away from each other. I know we are a bit bigger than other keesies (I am 54lbs and Buddy is 59lbs) but we really need to stay together.

We are both neutered, and have been for a long time, we are all vaccinated, hw tested negative and microchipped. We are a two for one deal!

Please call our foster sponsor, Angel at 847 922 2240

Oh and we are in Southwest MI right now and we LOVE to ride in the car and we do it really well! And did I mention that we are REALLY REALLY cute? Our foster sponsor says we look like teddy bears that have come to life and just to prove how teddy bear like and snuggly we are, we will give you lots of kisses.

Well, I hope you decide to come meet us because I think you will be most impressed by us! We are obviously very special since we got picked out of alot of other dogs in the shelter to be "rescued".

Talk to you soon,
Love Coco (I am the lighter colored one) and Buddy!

UPDATE 3-4-07: Hello, its Buddy. I just wanted to let you know that we are doing really well, and we went into a new home on a trial. Well wouldnt you know that we figured out how to be housebroken in about 12 hrs, and we are really good in the house. We dont chew on things or act like crazy dogs, and we really like Penny, the Collie we are staying with....BUT my dumb brother (dont get me wrong, I cant stand it when he isnt around me, but sometimes he is a real pill) is quite interested in the household birds. I dont pay any attention to them, but Coco is constantly jumping on the cage and wont concentrate on anything else other than the silly little bird. SO, we have to move out of this nice home. I am really bummed about it because we have a HUGE yard to play in, and the lady is so nice to us, and she has been helping us learn to walk nice on a leash, and she brushes us and we love it (coco just likes it because I like it, cuz he obviously has no fur to be brushed) and we really love all the hugs and attention we get from the lady....So, I just thought you would like to know how smart we are, and that its really not going to take much for us to get the hang of new household rules. We need to go back to the boarding kennel because we still dont have a foster home, so we will probably forget our new manners, but at least we will remember them quickly once we get back into a home. I hope you like the new pictures. I think we are pretty darn cute if I say so myself!
