**Update** (8/20/11) Savannah has received treatment for the heartworms, and she is now ready to start her new life! The vet gave her a clean bill of health. Please contact us to foster or adopt this sweet girl! (7/14/11) Yesterday we found out that Savannah tested positive for heartworms. A wonderful sponsor stepped up to donate for the cost of her treatment. Savannah will stay in NC for her treatment and recuperation, and then will be ready to find a new famly to love her! She is only 6 years old and very healthy, so she should do fine with the treatment. Please say a prayer for our sweet Savannah! (6/3/11) This wonderful girl was losing her home since her military dad was being relocated. Under the circumstances, we just couldn't let this sweet girl go to the shelter. Savannah is about 6 year old....UTD on her vacs.....and spayed. Her family said that she loves children and gets along great with other dogs. Savannah would love to find a family who will spend time with her at the dog park....going for walks....and lots of playtime.
