Sierra's Story...
Sierra is a beautiful dog who currently weighs 55 pounds but is just skin and bones. She needs to put on at least 10 more pounds to make her look good. We were told she is 2 years old by the pound she was rescued from but we think she may be a little younger. She has been very curious about the cats and small dogs here but after a few separate introductions she is doing well around them. She just has to be reminded once in a while because she has no idea how much bigger she is than they are. She has the cutest ears with one down and one standing up straight and she has the look of a Great Dane with her big square jaw, but she is much smaller than a Great Dane. She is a beauty!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sierra, a Conesus German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Conesus, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Conesus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Conesus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Conesus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Conesus paves the way for another one to be saved.
