Opi's Story...
Hello World.

I’m Opi, a handsome Bichon boy who is nine months old and weighs about fourteen pounds. My foster mom says that I’m an incredibly cute guy who gets along with anyone and everyone. Why I’m so even tempered and mellow that I get along with the cats! (In fact Mom says I’m an ‘angel.” I’m not sure what that means but she smiles when she says it!) She also says I am the sweetest little guy you could ever hope to meet. Speaking of meeting…I like to meet new people and especially love to meet other dogs. Give me an opportunity to play and I’m your guy!

I’m a playful, happy and smart little guy (Dad says I mastered the doggy door in one day) who is housebroken and eager to learn what is expected of me. I’ve learned to sit, I come when I’m called (Dad says he wishes my doggy foster brothers and sisters did that!) and I’m not a barker nor a chewer. Well I do like my nylabones but I know that they are the only things I’m supposed to chew.

I’m basically just happy to be in a nice home where people are good to me and with my doggy foster brothers and sister I can play with!

I love to ride in the car (Mom says I’d prefer driving but since I’m not old enough I’m learning to sit nicely) and I love to be petted and have my belly rubbed. (I’m teaching the Mom and Dad how to do that and they’re learning really well!)

Dad says that I love listening to everyone talk and I think I understand most of what is being said. I may not be able to talk exactly like Dad does -- but I do my best to communicate and am very expressive. And Dad says I smile a lot. (Of course, Dad, I’m safe and happy!)

Mom thinks my ideal Forever family will have another dog or two to play with-- and someone who likes to go for rides and walks. Doesn’t that sound great?

So if you are looking for a sweetheart of a bichon, who is cute, friendly, trusting, sweet and loving then look no further. Just complete our application-- and let’s get together.

See you soon.
Happy and Obedient Opi

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Opi, a La Costa Bichon Frise puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise for sale in La Costa, or seeking a Bichon Frise puppy from a breeder in La Costa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in La Costa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a La Costa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise breeders who help with Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in La Costa paves the way for another one to be saved.
