King's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

King's Story...
King is a very handsome, energetic, exhuberant and happy, four-year-old, 75-pound, male, Mastiff-mix looking for a loving guardian. King is full of kisses and tail wags; he just loves people, although he doesn’t quite know his own strength so he’s best in a home with older kids and adults. King already knows how to sit on command and he takes treats gently from your fingers. This wonderful dog has an excellent temperament and appears to enjoy the company of other dogs (over 20 pounds), but not cats or rabbits. King is healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, de-wormed and heartworm-tested. If you are interested in fostering or adopting King, please contact Melia at melia88@comcast.net or 708-224-1900. His adoption fee of $200 benefits rescue dogs. He is being kenneled in Union, Illinois.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

King, a Chicago Great Dane/Rhodesian Ridgeback dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane/Rhodesian Ridgeback for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Great Dane/Rhodesian Ridgeback dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane/Rhodesian Ridgeback breeders who help with Great Dane/Rhodesian Ridgeback rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
