Lady's Story...
This is lady, she is a sweet female Lab/Basenji mix that is around 4 years old. She was just weighed and is around 42 pounds. Lady was rescued from a 10X10 pen with her daughter and Bear a Chocolate lab where they lived for the last 2 years. There was a large stock tank inside that they used for a shelter that left very little room for the three dogs to move around. Sadly lady was heartworm positive when we rescued her but she has completed her treament and in now cured heartworm negative!! Lady has been spayed and has had all of her shots. She is Housebroken and has good house manners. Lady loves attention and she loves to talk to you when she sees you after being gone for awhile. She is very sweet and loving and is laying on the couch by my feet as I type. Lady loves other dogs and loves everyone she meets and will make a great family pet and anyone would be lucky to adopt her! BR>http://www.poochesonthemove.net/warren-county-rescue.html

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lady, a Staunton Labrador Retriever/Basenji dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Basenji for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Basenji dog from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Basenji breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Basenji rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
