Van Gogh's Story...
Go to www.atailtotell.com for an adoption application. My name is Van Gogh. I am a one years old Chihuahua/Papillon mix. I am missing one ear so the lady who fosters me decided to call me Van Gogh. She thinks she's funny. I am a little shy but when you get to know me I am really delightful. There is not a mean bone in my body. I weigh 8 pounds and I love to run and frolic. If I were a human I would probably like picnics by a creek, cognac in front of a bon fire, strawberry twizzlers, hop scotch, tag and lying on my back and counting stars.
I am 99% potty trained and I am really a lovely little man. I am hoping to be in a home soon. I am getting a little tired of the women in this rescue. All they do is oooh and ahhh me to death.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Van Gogh, a Mt Gretna Chihuahua/Papillon dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Papillon for sale in Mt Gretna, or seeking a Chihuahua/Papillon dog from a breeder in Mt Gretna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mt Gretna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mt Gretna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Papillon breeders who help with Chihuahua/Papillon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mt Gretna paves the way for another one to be saved.
