UPDATE -- Kiley has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and even though we caught it early, her estimated life expectancy is around 2-3 years. She is going to be on medication for the rest of her life and desperately needs a foster home where she can live happily and comfortably. Please contact us via e-mail or call our hotline for more information. Kiley is estimated to be born around 6/09. She was live-trapped underneath a porch and has been found to be very friendly. Not much is known about her past history, but we do know that Kiley is very sweet and very playful and doesn't mind the other cats at the shelter.

Shelter Info...
Happy Endings is a nonprofit 501(c)(3), no-kill organization run solely by volunteers who have been saving lives since 1994. It is the mission of Happy Endings to find permanent homes for unwanted, stray, abused or feral animals that are brought to us or rescued from the street.
Happy Endings provides a safe haven for feral, stray, abused, neglected, unwanted and critically injured cats. We care for cats that are sick and provide homes for all cats until they are ready to be adopted. Animals are never euthanized by Happy Endings for convenience sake, but only when, in a veterinarians professional opinion, It is in a state of terminal suffering.
We are located at 5349 Forest Home Avenue and are open on Thursdays - 6 PM to 9 PM and on Saturdays - 11 AM to 4 PM.
Happy endings would like to take this opportunity to thank Crawford Animal Hospital for providing a place to keep, take care of and show some of our adoptable cats there. The turnout has been amazing. Every cat sent there to be shown has been placed into loving homes. To view our cats there, please stop and visit Crawford during their normal business hours. They are located at 4607 South 108th Street, Greenfield, WI 53228.”
All potential adopters must fill out an application and go through an interview. Our adoption facilitators walk them through the shelter and help them find the perfect animal that would best match their homes. After a potential adopter signs up for a specific animal, there is a cool-down period.
We do veterinarian reference checks and follow-up telephone calls on Mondays to make sure the potential adopters are still interested. After the telephone interview has taken place, a home visit is set up and the selected animal is delivered to it's new home.
Our adoption fees are $85 for one cat or kitten and $130 for two cats or kittens. The adoption fee includes various procedures which have already been performed, such as:
- Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency virus tests
- Distemper shots
- Rabies Booster
- Preventative Dewormer
- Spay or neuter for all cats at least 6 months of age or older
- An adoption folder complete with an "Animal Health Log Sheet" containing the cat's health history.
Under no circumstances do our animals leave the shelter the same day they are signed up for.
Milwaukee, WI and some cities beyond. Please email us for more information or stop in and ask.
