Spencer's Story...
Spencer is about 12 weeks old. His mom is about 30 pounds and we expect him to be about the same. We really don't know his breed and his mom had short hair unlike Spence who had a little fluffier hair! Spencer is an all around great pup, he likes to explore and play and is inquisitive about his surroundings. He also likes to snuggle and his favorite napping place is someone's lap. Spence is scheduled to be neutered on 3.2.07 and he will be available for adoption after that time. If you are interested in giving Spence the forever home he deserves please e-mail harlandogrescue@gmail.com for a pre-adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spencer, a Minneapolis Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog puppy from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
