My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Harvey is a happy little dog that loves everyone. Of course he is loyal to his own people but he is not snappish or standoffish and accepts pets and cuddles from everyone. He is also good with other dogs and is fine with cats. He is a young adult dog and weighs just 7 lbs.

Harvey is oblivious to his size and has no fear of much larger dogs, wanting to make friends with them all. He is affectionate, friendly and just a wonderful little companion. Although he is find with children of all ages we would prefer he goes to a home with older, respectful children only (8+).

A lively and fun companion Harvey is just a little doll. He is small enough to cart anywhere but much prefers to keep all four paws on the group like a big dog. He loves going for walks and playing in the yard. He would be fine in an apartment as long as he was not left for really long hours each day. He would really prefer someone that was home more often then not.

Harvey would be fine as a second dog or as the only dog in the home however having a cat at least to keep him company while you are at work would be preferred. A house with a small backyard would be great but as long as you were willing to ensure he had a walk each day, Harvey’s exercise requirements are fairly low.

He is active in the home and pretty much gets his exercise needs met by jumping up and down off laps. But, to keep him interested, active and happy he does still require a walk each day.
