Boo's Story...
Meet Boo! He is a 3 year old golden / great pyr mix. He is about 100 pounds of lap dog. His owner turned him to AGK because they felt he deserved a better life and really wanted to see him in a home where he had plenty of space to explore inside and outside. He does require a fence that is 6 feet or higher because he is quite athletic and can jump anything shorter. He is house trained, he loves people, children and sleeping in his crate. His coat was recently shaved so he will have long locks in the winter. He is just a sweet lovable boy who deserves the life he was meant to lead! He is playful with dogs his size and extremely gentle with little dogs. He will be a wonderful addition to any family! If you are interested in adopting Boo, please go to our website at www.adoptagoldenknoxville.org and fill out an application. One of our volunteers will contact you ASAP.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boo, a Knoxville Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
